Homeopathy not recommended by WHO
21st August 2009
The World Health Organisation has warned that people with conditions such as HIV, TB and malaria should not rely on homeopathic treatments.
The alert was in response to concerns from the Voice of Young Science Network which fears the promotion of homeopathy in the developing world could put lives at risk. The WHO’s TB experts said homeopathy had "no place" in treatment of the disease. The doctors had also complained that homeopathy was being promoted as a treatment for diarrhoea in children.
