Darzi contracts remodelled
11th March 2010
Primary Care Trusts have started to remodel Darzi contracts as they seek to improve performance.
The move comes amid growing evidence that the Darzi centres are funded more generously than GP practices as pressure grows on finance managers to secure improved value for money. Five trusts have now revealed changes to funding, including a GP-led health centre in Suffolk which became the first to see its pay cut after the firm running it admitted it was being overfunded for walk-in consultations.
