New treatments for swine flu
18th December 2009
Scientists from Harvard Medical School in Boston have discovered a natural defence against swine flu.
The findings reported in the journal Cell have shown that the virus-fighting proteins in the body protected against swine flu when levels were increased. They come after it emerged that swine flu cases showed a further drop in England with an estimated 9,000 new diagnoses last week and a forecast that the second wave of the disease is looking like it is coming to an end.
